Why do people use facebook and myspace to broadcast life on a wall post?

I just wonder about the intentions behind posting personal relationship business to a wall in the form of pics and words..Like to broadcast what you and your partner do… Do we think it is because our relationships are so comfortable and great we want to tell the world? or perhaps many people are not conscious of what they are doing or..like is it to compensate for things that are not so great and so we fule off of attention??? Even in friendships like i see similar things “oh i love you” “Thank you so much for….” Do people not use phone or text or how about a personal email to say these things if you cannot say it face to face…
i mentioned email and text as a way to be more personable than a wall post…i do know what it means to truely comminucate. The question is for us to be aware of the trends in our culture change the ways we communicate and how things that should be private and sacred (ike love) has been made into illusions by way of internet connections..I want to know what you think of the issue..darn da darn darn
Because they dont have a real social life outhere!
It’s because some people have no lives, so they live in myspace websites.
Since when are email and text personal? You need to back-pedal a little, I think.
i would say
1. there looking for attention
or
2.they didnt think anyone would read it
Or how about a handwritten thank you letter?
Wow, we are so technology based that it frightens me.
I used to believe I was in a happy relationship, and I posted about how much I was loved and in love… and now, I’m sans that partner, and do not ever mention any form of happiness shared with my S.O.
Frankly, that’s personal and private.
I believe it’s a compensation thing that people do that.
facebook and myspace is a place for ppl get to know each other. other than that, they also can keep in touch with their friends and relatives. you can keep your pics in there as well as you can show your favorite pics to your friends or get to know new friends by showing them your lifestyle. Online!
its because humans need some sort of way to express themselves, like a way to reach out into the world..a cry for help or an expression of happiness
I don’t know. Maybe to brag or just to tell others their business…I never quite understood MySpace or Facebook anyway…
Some people are sad aren’t they….
And people wonder why identity theft is so easy in todays world…
I cannot fathom the why, I just know that they shouldn’t do it. Not too long ago, a girl thought she made friends with a nice boy on MySpace. She got personal with him. Come to find out, it were dirty, mean people who humiliated her over it. She hung herself in her closet. She was only 13. Today, also in the news, we saw one girl get beaten badly by 6 other girls. It was videotaped and put on YouTube. It all started on MySpace. I try to discourage young people using MySpace, but if they do, please keep your personal business in the blog and keep it private. Nowhere is really safe when you consider people who you consider to be a friend only to find out alter that they are not really and show your personal business to others. So posting personal things in public is never a good idea.
