You have seen that people calling or emailing BBC, CNN or other TV programs to give their comments
one day, my dad emailed BBC anonymously to give his comment on the news, they broadcasted his mesage with his first and last name.
how they could find my dad’s real name? he sent his email with a fake name.
They probably trace the IP of all people emailing them, but how they could find the real name? IP doesn’t do that

lol they don’t trace ip addresses – ip addresses only yield names and addresses if you’re part of a law enforcement group.
it was probably his real name in the settings, unless he went into the account settings of his email account to change his name to a ‘fake name’ his real name will be sent with the email – just typing ‘bob smith’ at the end of the email isn’t enough.
Companies don’t trace the IPs of people who email them because emails have no IP addresses. Only physical network-connected devices do (like servers).
Your dad’s name could have been configured into his mail program.
