So, I answered the following question….
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhIztbYxEl6hcNQ0owB4nrXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080427005504AA9mJHi&show=7#profile-info-E17aKnrWaa
Ok, so my response was a little on the sarcastic side… but meant to illustrate the ignorance with which the question was stated. I received the following email from the questioner…
“From: ?lOvE?
Subject: apple *** *****…
Message: As a matter of fact i have 2 daughters and 1 son. not really but if i did they would be fine. i have something way more powerful than any medication {not to say that i dont use it} and its god. that medicine would even exist if he didnt supply the things you need to make it.
And next time you start to judge someone and how there children would turn out think about this. you never know… your punishment could be way worse than your comments. You could end up with retard babies. Or not even be able to produce children at all.
Smug it sista! ”
Is this the way we behave when we think no one else will see? Ok, I’ll admit I shouldn’t have said that whole “don’t procreate” thing, but still… I have never gotten a more hateful email in all my time here on R&S, which has been intermittent over the course of 3 years.
Wonder if she has t-shirts for her hate-email club, Diane? Glad to know I’m not alone, though.
Yitka, I concede your point, and I fully understand that this kind of hypocrisy is what makes some religions, Christianity in particular, so unappealing to some people. Please just know that not every Christian is like that.
Raptor: I have had worse, I’m sure… but this personal attack on my children just pales in comparison to any others. Attack me all you want, but bring my kids into it… now that ticks me off.
